It is with deep sadness that we announce the demise of Dr J K Choudhary, our cherished doctor volunteer who passed away on 16th May, 2022.
Always willing to contribute to Day Care in whatever way he could, Dr Choudhary could be seen volunteering at the local Gurudwara when he was not at the Day Care. He liked running his own errands with a bag on his shoulder and never expected anyone to do anything for him. Choudhary Uncle as he came to be known, was a role model for all.
As far as medical advice was concerned, he was very practical and did not believe in prescribing expensive medicines at all, and would share the name of cheaper drugs with similar salts. He would calmly listen to disturbed parents to pacify their anxieties. He dealt with adolescent issues with great sensitivity and knew how to go about delicate topics with teenagers.
He always had an interesting Punjabi proverb to counsel or to describe the situation.
We shall miss his great sense of humour, the twinkle in his eye and most of all, his kind and generous spirit.
May the departed soul attain eternal joy.
