Mobile Palliative Care Clinic

Our mobile clinic brings essential palliative care services to your doorstep, ensuring no patient is left behind.

Mobile Palliative Care Clinic

First of its kind Mobile Palliative Care Clinic (MPCC) in North India.

The Clinic van is stationed outside Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi – every Monday-Wednesday- Friday and outside the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, New Delhi – every Tuesday-Thursday, coinciding with the respective hospital’s chemotherapy and radiotherapy clinic days. Consequently, patients receive the benefit of services of both facilities on the day that they come for treatment.

The Mobile Palliative Care Clinic includes a palliative care physician, nurse and counsellor as well as a social worker and a hospital networking officer to offer comprehensive care to patients and their caregivers in a one-window set-up. Similar to the Outpatient Clinics, the MPCC ensures patients and families have access to information make informed decisions about treatment and care goals.

The medical team prepares patients for various treatment modalities, manages pain and symptoms associated with the disease, mitigates side effects of cancer treatments and offers comprehensive nursing care as well simple skills to empower caregivers in caring for their patients.

The counsellor offers support with emotional, social and spiritual pains and in addition works to find ways of coping and self-care for the caregivers.

The social workers facilitate mobilisation of financial aid and other resources through government schemes and other organisations for ongoing treatment.

The hospital networking officer helps patient navigate the maze of cancer treatment for seamless care.
