CanSupport’s Community Networking Team organized a door to door cancer and palliative care awareness drive in Nizamuddin and Seelampur, Delhi on 22 March and 26 March, 2019 respectively. The Awareness camp is a part of special initiative with ONGC limited called “BE AWARE – SHOW YOU CARE” which entails cancer awareness activities in schools, colleges and slum clusters in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. With the help of our Community Networking Officer, around 310 families were reached and informed about key aspect of cancer and palliative care.

An awareness camp was also organized in Nizamudddin with the help of Hope Foundation and at Seelampur with the help of SEWA NGO. The Session at Nizamuddin was conducted by Savita Luka, Head Chief Nurse and Sindhu Raj, Senior Nurse took a session at Seelampur. Around 100 participants attended this camp. We are grateful to the staff of Hope Foundation, Dr. Lipi Dhar and Nadeem, Director, SEWA NGO for helping and supporting us in organizing the camp.
