CanSupport organized an awareness session for the residents of Alaknanda RWA. The session took place at their premises on 15 December, 2019.

It was aimed at raising awareness about the major causes of cancer such as smoking, alcohol intake, tobacco consumption, lack of exercise, and a sedentary lifestyle, etc.

Dr. Bhawna Sirohi, CanSupport Managing Committee Member, Oncologist and Director of Max Hospital conducted the session on cancer awareness, she emphasized that according to research, breast and ovarian cancer are on the rise in women, while mouth, lung and blood cancer continue to increase in men. She spoke about the absolute need for regular check-ups to safeguard oneself from such disease.

Around 35 residents attended this session.
