Nurses have been fighting the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic from the frontline, and they continue to serve as the backbone of the healthcare system as a pillar of emotional strength for the patients and their caregivers.
To mark International Nurses Day and to show our love and admiration for the selfless dedication of our nurses and all the nurses throughout the world, CanSupport held an online event on May 18, 2021 titled “Celebrating Exemplary Courage and Dedication of Our Nurses”.
The event was attended by all the nurses, doctors, volunteers and staff of CanSupport and was broadcast live on CanSupport’s Facebook page.
The event was graciously attended by CanSupport Founder-President, Harmala Gupta, who praised the CanSupport nurses for their dedication during the Covid-19 pandemic at great personal risk, and for their exemplary courage, dedication and sincerity towards the patients and their caregivers.
The selfless work of CanSupport nurses was celebrated through a short film made on them. All the CanSupport doctors and volunteers shared congratulatory messages with the nurses expressing gratitude and acknowledging their role.
The event included a laughter session led by Neelam Wadhera, Vice President – Delhi laughter Club. We thank Neelam for making everyone burst into laughter at the event, giving everyone especially, our nurses a much-needed laughter break.
We also thank CanSupport volunteers for so thoughtfully preparing and sending gifts to the nurses at CanSupport.
