Remembrance Day – Delhi

CanSupport’s held its Annual Remembrance Day, Delhi on 25 November at Centenary Methodist Church on Lodhi Road.

About 500 caregivers came to the event and remembered their loved ones lost to cancer. They offered flowers in front of their departed family members’ photographs, lit diyas and wrote messages and put them up on the Remembrance Tree.

Many caregivers came forward to express their gratitude to CanSupport and in particular the home care team that cared for them and their loved ones just like a family.

Harmala Gupta in her message thanked all the caregivers for letting CanSupport teams serve them. She also thanked the home care teams and volunteers for their dedication and devotion towards CanSupport’s mission of caring for people with cancer.

Savita Luka, Head - Palliative care field services and Director Nursing, CanSupport also paid shradhanjali to Bina Akhtar and Pavni Rao, CanSupport counsellors who also left for their heavenly abode last year.

It was a solemn ceremony that healed every one of their pain and loss.
